Culture Buzz When 6-year-old Elena Desserich new she was going to die from pediatric brain cancer, she started writing notes to her younger sister Gracie so that she’d know something about her big sister after she was gone. What Elena’s parent’s didn’t realize was that Elena was leaving notes for them as well, and started finding them everywhere after she passed.
Sure…

- finding hiding places so good
- that her parents never find one of her notes until after she dies. Sure… that happened. (eyes rolling) It's all so plausible. AND there's a boy in a tinfoil UFO over your house right now!

it was such a beautiful tearjerker of a story until i got to the part where the parents actually published and are selling books of her notes. nothing says class like cashing in on the death of your 6 year old daughter :|

I read those notes…Just lots of love and hearts. Unbelievable. I hope that when I'm on my way to the next life, I have nothing in my thoughts but love and hearts.
