I’ve suffered from night terrors ever since moving away for college. As you said, they get worse with stress, but I still have them even when I think I am relatively “unstressed.” I get them most every night and have recently discovered the reason I am often exhausted is I have more than I can even remember. Usually they have the theme of someone trying to “get” me or I see someone at my door, in my closet, I’ll see lights turning on and off outside my door, a shadow at the end of my bed, etc. and they started out as seeing bugs on the wall or in the bed when I was in college. It’s nice to know I’m not alone and I will use your experience to help guide mine. Thanks for your article.
