I had terrible acne from fourth grade all the way until college. The only thing that got rid of it was Accutane. It's a very heavy prescription medication that's used for severe acne. While there are health risks they are rare and it turned my acne ridden skin to porcelain.

You need a funny book if you're gonna be traveling a long ways, so I highly recommend any of Mindy Kaling's books, Tina Fey's Bossy Pants, and The Bassoon King by Rainn Wilson. I'm also just a huge office fan so that might be it too.
