In the days leading up to "His Last Vow," the fandom grew more and more worried about what was going to happen in the last episode of Sherlock's third season.
Would the fans survive? Probably not.
Other Tumblr users were warned about the impending eruption of the Sherlock fandom.
When the day finally arrived, nobody was emotionally prepared.
NOBODY.
I mean, after two happy episodes, there was no way that "His Last Vow" wasn't going to be painful.
And BOY...
WAS...
IT...
REALLY...
PAINFUL...
(I'm not crying, you're crying.)
Of course, it wasn't all bad.
But there's no denying it was a damn emotional rollercoaster up until the very last second...
WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
And the fandom literally exploded.
The rest of Tumblr was worried...
With good cause, as the website actually went offline for a few minutes in the immediate aftermath of "His Last Vow."
The return of Moriarty was too much for anyone to take.
(In the best possible way.)
The fandom began to make clever deductions about how Moriarty's reappearance had come to be.
But everyone was obviously a little... upset... at the show's creators after the episode and the big reveal.
