1. Mikel Ruffinelli is the proud owner of the largest hips in the world. The 40 year-old mother of four’s hips measure an astounding 8 feet in circumference.
2. At 5ft4 and 420 pounds, Ruffinelli consumes 3,000 calories a day to keep her “bootylicious” figure.
3. She credits her four pregnancies for her unusually large hips. Ruffinelli began gaining weight at age 22 after the birth of her son Andrew and her hips ballooned with her three subsequent pregnancies.

4. Ruffinelli tried to lose weight through milkshake and other fad diets in the past, but now she claims to be happy with her body and works hard to stay healthy. As she can’t run on land, she works out through water aerobics classes.
5. Mikel Ruffinelli: “My husband finds my shape sexy and we have an amazing time in bed – there’s no position we can’t do! He tells me I’m beautiful every day. Men don’t like skinny girls, they like an hourglass figure.”

6. She lives in Los Angeles, where she is working on a psychology degree, and models for a Big Beautiful Women website to earn extra money.
7. Mikel Ruffinelli: I don’t want to get bigger, but I don’t want to lose my curves. I look great. I hope I inspire women to think, ‘She’s happy with her body and I can be too!’”

mauser*girl 5 months agoThat’s just … ew. And she honestly believes she has an hourglass figure? Really? Has she ever seen an what an hourglass even looks like? Being 5’4” and 420lbs is not healthy by any stretch of the imagination. As an EMT, I pick up overweight people all the time - aside from the challenges of moving these people and transporting them in the ambulance, it’s impossible to get an IV in them and they often have a great long list of health issues. I feel sorry for the EMS crew who has to take this woman and work CPR on her when her heart finally gives out - which it inevitably will. They’re going to need a crane.

Chris 5 months agoAnyone who weighs 420 lbs, regardless of their height (well let’s say under 7’6”), is unhealthy. 3000 calories a day for a 5’4” woman is typically double what she should be eating. It is people like this that are draining the healthcare system, and anytime someone says that morbidly obese people should pay more for health insurance, then they are labeled as discriminators. Well guess what, young men pay more for car insurance, so how is that not discrimination? It’s time everyone in the country wakes up. I’m all for accepting people for who they are, but when you stuff yourself full of food so that you can’t see your genitals, and have developed all the obesity related health issues, then you should pay more for your healthcare. Why should people who live a healthy lifestyle subsidize those who chose not to?
