I'm a 23 year old receptionist at a legal firm, living in East London. I'm looking to get into management next and will be studying for a part time degree next year.
I've always loved trying new looks, different clothes and trying out new styles of makeup. I love working with creative people, as it makes a change from my day job, and always get on well with photographers and makeup artists. I've always seen my modelling career as a bit of a hobby, but love that after the Models Direct reviews I went through, I was able to get paid work!
I was initially attracted to Models Direct as it is the only nationwide agency I could find. I felt like I was dealing with a real company, and had a representative looking after me. They explained to me what clients they had, the kinds of photo shoots I'd be taking part in, and other useful information which helped me make my decision.
After the Models Direct reviews process it took me about three months to get an assignment. It's all down to your look really, every client needs a different look for their campaign so if you have a certain image or look that they need, then you'll get that job.
Really well! My first job was to star in a photo shoot for Emma Hunt, the wedding dress designer. I had such a great time! I wore then incredible dresses. The photo shoot took all day, I still keep in touch with Emma and the team!I also did an assignment for the National Sporting Club, which was more of an event assignment rather than a photo shoot. My role was to meet and greet clients at the Twickenham Rugby Stadium. I'm really outgoing, friendly, and fun, so I had a great time! Everyone was really nice and the manager was really helpful.
The first thing people need to remember is, you have to put something into it to get something out of it. The Models Direct reviews team give you a personal contact to help you, so you know who to contact when you need advice. They will work with you to help you get jobs, so it's good to get to know them.I think Models Direct do look after their models and they kept me fully up to date with new jobs and I felt safe. I didn't have to worry about a thing!
