J.K. Rowling Just Called Out The Westboro Baptist Church On Twitter And It Was Beautiful

All hail Queen Jo!

J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books and all-round awesome lady, has had her fair share of Twitter fun recently.

On Thursday, we saw this excellent exchange between Rowling and Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis, after a rather explicit photoshoot was revealed to the public:

.@Mattdavelewis Not as bad as watching Dan in Equus, but close. Warn me next time, for God's sake. https://t.co/r8EUd1GKqT

.@Mattdavelewis I will always support you whatever you want to do, Matthew. Now go put some clothes on.

And in early May โ€” around the time of the UK General Election โ€” the author reacted perfectly to online abuse she received after announcing her support for the Labour party:

.@sjosiah0 The Internet doesnโ€™t just offer opportunities for misogynistic abuse, you know. Penis enlargers can also be bought discreetly.

And she's done it again! This time in response to criticisms of her statement that, after Ireland voted yes to same sex marriage, the characters of Dumbledore and Gandalf could get married there:

.@justaoifethings ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’š Then they could get married IN IRELAND! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’š

Anti-gay activist group the Westboro Baptist Church (obviously) protested Rowling's tweet, saying if they did, "WBC will picket!":

So @jk_rowling wants Dumbledore & Gandalf to marry in Ireland; if it happens, WBC will picket! #NotBanned @pinknews

And of course, Queen Jo came up with the perfect response.

.@WBCsigns Alas, the sheer awesomeness of such a union in such a place would blow your tiny bigoted minds out of your thick sloping skulls.

J.K. Rowling: official Queen of Sass.
