It’s actually Don’t Turn Around by Tina Turner, so Ace of Base don’t have any claim to it. In any case, it’s on the bastard radio at work 2500 times a day and I’ve only just realised it isn’t the Ace of Base cover. Either way, it’s a singualrly annoying record. Don’t Turn Around was bad enough!

That was my very first thought when I heard that song.

eh, similar but not as similar as the video would lead one to believe.  it is a mediocre song, though, which is funny. Most of Lady Gaga’s stuff is roughly on par with Ace of Base’s anyway (or any shit pop band from the 80’s). People only think its great now because they’re not used to hearing upbeat pop on the radio.

Holy crap! No wonder I had Don’t Turn Around stuck in my head the other day. Mystery solved.

this happens a lot in music. has nobody noticed Jason Derulo’s In my head and Gaga’s Just dance are the same?

I just listened to Don’t Turn around on its own, and I have to admit, it has some similarities. But saying that it’s exactly the same is a stretch. It sounds the same here because they blended the two songs together here.

I get the connection at all…doesn’t sound like a rip off to me you are all crazy….it sounds like the two songs are layered on top of one another…get a life people!

What about Isla Bonita by Madonna? It sounds like both also.

“The Lady Gag song “Alejandro” is basically “Don’t Turn Around,” by Ace of Base.” I find that little typo very amusing and very apt. Ahahahahahahaaaa…makes me think of that saying, “accidentally on purpose”!

I thought it sounded familiar. Then again Gaga is so derivative, it’s par for the course.

So, what does Lady Gaga have to say for herself, and what do Ace of Base say? hmm….

HA! I feel so vindicated that I’m not the only one that thought this. But then again, I did love me some Ace of Base back in the day.

I agree with a previous person that it sounds like two different songs layered on top of one another. I’ve seen this done with Evanescence and Justin Timberlake. Two completely different genres. One of them must of ripped off the other, of course because they sound so good layered. Please, give me a break!
