Working atamajor record label in sales while observing trends has taught me that just because the numbers are not there, does not mean the music has more or less substance. Physical sales are down, digital sales are stagnant but music is being stolen. These numbers were before the peer-to-peer revolution. In my opinion, 20/20 has exponentially more than any Nsync album. This is allatestament of the age we are living. Music is listened too more than ever today but this content is being consumed for free, justified by some sense of entitlement that people have that music should be theirs for free. This isadirect effect of piracy, not music’s quality, albiet some music in all generations can be considered questionable.
