    Hoboken to Snooki: Stay out!

The mayor of Hoboken, N.J., has shot down a request from MTV to film a “Jersey Shore” spinoff in the city — and warned the producers not to try bribing their way in.

Mayor Dawn Zimmer said the presence of the party-hearty TV stars Snooki and J-Woww in the Mile Square City would create a crowd-control nightmare.

“The concern is public safety and quality of life for our citizens,” Zimmer told the Daily News on Tuesday.

“Imagine there’s a Snooki sighting and everyone pours out of the bars. It’s difficult from a public safety standpoint to manage that.”

In a letter to the production company, Zimmer also said she was surprised to learn they had filmed without a permit in the past — and greased the wheels with “verbal agreements” and “payments to individuals.”

“As the mayor of a community that has experienced significant corruption in the recent past, I write to put you ... on formal notice that there will be zero tolerance for this kind of approach in the City of Hoboken.”

Zimmer became mayor of Hoboken — the birth place of Frank Sinatra — when her predecessor resigned in a corruption scandal after just a month office.

She said she’s “not a fan” of the outrageously tacky show that made Seaside Heights famous for orange tans, poofy hair and drunken hookups.

“It does seem to focus on excessive drinking and that’s something we’re trying to move away from in Hoboken,” she said.

She said the producers wanted a 24-hour permit to film Snooki and J-Woww while they rented an apartment in Hoboken.

The producers told them they needed to amass 700 hours of film to put together a single one-hour episode.

“The commercial production of this scale would take place on the very doorsteps and beneath the windows of our citizens, unnecessarily degrading their quality of life,” the letter said.

Zimmer said MTV could appeal the Film Commission’s decision to the City Council.

MTV and 495 Productions declined comment.

In September, Gov. Chris Christie put the kibosh on $420,000 in tax credits for “Jersey Shore,” saying the show “does nothing more than perpetuate misconceptions about the state and its citizens."
