This article could not be more wrong. I use Olive oil for all of these things (I actually don’t have any other oil in my house, just olive) and I have never had a problem. Actually, if you use butter to cook in a skillet, you can add olive oil to bring down the smoke point and keep the butter from burning. I’m wondering if you actually cook. People that actually cook know these things. Listen to the Greeks. They know what they’re talking about.
