Peacock On The Loose In Queens

A fugitive peacock is entertaining residents of Kew Gardens in Queens. He has evaded capture by police and rescue squad for the past two weeks. He seems to have escaped from John Bowen's High School's agricultural center. He has since created a Twitter account: @QueensPeacock

Peacocks can fly, contrary to a popular notion. Although this bird's wing feathers are regularly clipped to reduce flight risk, they grew back fast, and aided in his escape from John Bowen's High School agricultural center.
