turtlefeed 9 months agoBREAK FOR TURTLES, PEOPLE. And if you DO hit one and can pull over safely, bring it to a vet. Turtles can survive being hit by a car, and snapping turtles are easier to move than you might think. (ALSO, DAMN YOU SHREDDER!)

BuzzfeedThePoor 9 months agoIt’s better to pick them of than to swerve and spin out of control. I’d take the life of an animal if it meant my family would be safe. Trust me, I’ve seen it happen on long trips to Texas. SUVs will serve and tumble. I had to pick off a jackrabbit once because these was no space to stop or swerve. You gotta do what you gotta do. If out on the streets, though…that’s a different question. You’re not going at a high speed, so it’s possible to not hit the animal. Just be safe out there, people.

LadyFrank 9 months agoThere is something fundamentally wrong with you if you intentionally inflict injury or pain to another living creature. I almost rolled my truck trying to avoid a snake in the road. How is it NOT you reaction to try to avoid hitting anything, let alone a living creature?

mariav9 9 months agoI would save a turtle (if it’s not snapping!), ignore the snake, and even thought I’m probably going to get chewed out for this, I would kill a spider. Actually, maybe I wouldn’t cuz then I would have nightmares of his spider friends and family coming to kill me. SO nevermind.
