    Plenty of celebrities have straw for brains, but check out these school-savvy celebs who got all lawyered-up.

    If you are currently in law school, maybe you feel a bit hopeless about your job prospects in the current legal market. Perhaps you have developed a dose of cynicism about the justice system during your time in law school. Maybe you are just not sure whether you should even go to law school or how to use a law degree upon graduation. Hollywood is always an option for those who have a law degree. These six celebrities were able to make a fabulous career in Hollywood despite having gone to law school.

    Jerry Springer

    The infamous talk show host graduated from Northwestern University School of Law in 1968. After law school, Mr. Springer went on to practice law at Frost & Jacobs. After law school he went on to lead an active life in politics. In 1991, the Jerry Springer talk show debuted on national television. Since then, Mr. Springer has become a household name for his controversial show.



    Josh Saviano

    If you are a fan of the Wonder Years, then you likely remember the geeky friend of Fred Savage, Paul Pfeiffer. Josh Savino, the true identity of the dweeb later went on to practice law after the Wonder Years ended. Savino practiced law in New York after he attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.



    David Stern

    David Stern is famous for being the former commissioner of the NBA (perhaps infamous in the sight of some). Prior to working for the NBA, he worked as an attorney for a firm that represented the NBA. Mr. Stern attended Columbia Law School and is barred in New York.



    Mahatma Gandhi

    Respected around the world as a major advocate of peace and non-violent demonstrations, Mahatma Gandhi's legacy continues to live on to this day. Few people know that Gandhi actually had a law degree and was a licensed lawyer during his lifetime. He earned his law degree from the University College London. Gandhi has inspired countless world leaders and advocates of peace and justice today.



    Lilly Ghalichi

    While she may not have a household name yet, millions of people would likely recognize Ms. Ghalichi from her appearances on Bravo's "Shahs of Sunset." The series documented the lives of Persians in Los Angeles. The show often portrayed her glamour-driven appearance but made no mention of her legal background. Ms. Ghalichi graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and holds her J.D.



    Gerard Butler

    In his early 20s, Butler attended Glasgow University where he was president of the school's law society. He was a trainee at a law firm until he got fired which opened the path for his acting career. Although he never became a lawyer, any man that made it through law school, played the Phantom of the Opera, and has devastating good looks is a catch to say the least.
