7 Things We Will Miss The Most From 'The View' Now That Barbara Is Leaving

All 11 co-hosts reunited on "The View" to say goodbye to Barbara Walters. She's set to retire from the show she helped create and from appearing on all TV. (Can you name them all? Barbara, Meredith, Joy, Star, Debbie, Lisa, Elisabeth, Rosie, Sherri, Whoopi, and Jenny!) Here's a look at our favorite memories from the ghosts of 'View' past.

1. ALL THE PDA BETWEEN THE WOMEN!

Lesbihonest, Rosie wasn’t the only one with at least a touch of the gay. Barbara seemed to be a pretty cool "mom" when it came to the girls showing each other some love. A pretty common occurrence on the TV talkie were all the girl-on-girl make out sessions. Joy kissing Meredith. Joy kissing Whoopi. Joy kissing Barbara… you get it. Joy basically got more girl-on-girl action on the show than Rosie ever did. These days, Jenny McCarthy has been kissing some of the male guests (she even got engaged to one of them!), but clearly not enough co-host on co-host loving as there used to be in the Joy days.

2. ONLY BABS CAN TURN A STARLET INTO A "STAR"

And then she'll kill you when you cross her.

Star Jones became a household name when she joined the original cast of "The View." She was a "Court TV" personality before that, but no household name. She stayed at "The View" for nine years and was beloved on the show until… well… she wasn’t. Her fatal flaw came when she decided to announce she’d soon be leaving the show days before she was supposed to. Little did she know, she’d be leaving a lot sooner than even she’d planned - like that very day. Queen Barbara would have no part of the betrayal, showing up the next day with a table of three.

3. MAGICAL DIETS!

Wasn't it wonderful how Star Jones lost all the weight by simply eating better and exercising? OK, she actually didn't, but for a while, everyone on the show pretended she did. We want those kind of friends! She should not only thank Barbara for her career, but for keeping quiet even with the most unbelievable transformation happening in front of everyone's eyes.

4. NOT DEBBIE MATENOPOULOS

While Star’s exit was a big headline, Debbie Matenopoulos’ sudden and unexplained departure was the show’s first. Speculation ranges from her being too much of an airhead of a personality, to her pissing off the Big Babs. Whatever happened, it’s never really been publicly explained, but she’s also not really been seen again. Well, that’s not wholly true. She’s turned up on some movie no one watched, hosted that show no one saw, and married, divorced, and remarried… and no one was watching. That last name is fun to say though!

5. LISA LING'S HIGHER ASPIRATIONS

After three and a half years Lisa chucked the deuces to the show that made her a household name, seemingly being the first person to walk away from the show. While some didn’t understand it, Lisa had bigger plans. Going on to travel the world, hosting National Geographic Explorer and covering stories that mattered, from overseas to the darkest places here at home. Lisa also went on to be a correspondent for Oprah Winfrey, landing her own OWN show, "Our America with Lisa Ling," among others. That show has now been cancelled as well, so she needs to find a place to be her awesome self... We're guessing she's not clamoring to be back on "The View" to dissect every single detail of the last "Dancing with the Stars" episode and the nuances of the last argument Tori and Dean had on "True Tori." Thanks Barbara for making Lisa Ling happen, and for letting her go when you did.

6. MARIO CANTONE?

Will Mario ever be back on the show? Mario Cantone is never, ever, ever getting that seat, but Barbara sure seemed to love putting him on the show. Arguably the 12th co-host, Mario Cantone took more than a little time to enjoy "The View," probably more than even Debbie Matenopoulos. Unlike his female counterpart, Cantone is always a bridesmaid. As the most consistent male presence on the show, he took a seat every time one became available but Mario never seems to get asked to dance.

For one reason or another, Baba Wawa seems committed to keeping the panel a No Cantone Zone - unless he’s willing to make some significant changes…

7. THE SPLIT SCREEN TO END ALL SPLIT SCREENS!

The most intriguing reunion tomorrow will be between Rosie and Elisabeth, and that's because of the fight that ended Rosie's run on the show. The fight certainly got out of control, and the show didn't help it by cutting to a split screen of the two of them as they just weren't sure how to keep up with it. We see catfights on TV all the time.

However, we will miss the passion, the political conviction that put the show on map. There was no hair pulling in this one, but there is lot more going on than in any 'Housewife' reunion.
