In December, a hacker terrorist group calling themselves The Guardians Of Peace, hacked computers at Sony Pictures and released private employee information, emails and pirated movies including Annie (2014), in attempts to blackmail Sony executives into pulling their movie The Interview (2014) from movie theaters. 'The Interview' is a film starring Seth Rogen and James Franco and is about the assassination of North Korean president Kim Jong-un.

When blackmail didn't work, the Guardians Of Peace made terrorist threats against movie theaters that where planning on showing The Interview. This caused theater owners to shit their pants and refuse to show the movie. The FBI says they were able to trace the source of the hack to North Korea and believes that North Korea currently has 3,000 hackers working for the government and many of them may have been involved in the Hack.
