I don’t agree with everything Thatcher did, but she was one hell of a person. She should forever be remembered as an example to which all future politicians should aspire: Even in the face of tremendous opposition, you can achieve something if you set your mind to it.

People in the UK tend not to tip for anything, even though service workers of all kinds always appreciate it when I do. I won’t tip everybody (bartenders, for example), but I will tip waiters, cab drivers, and pizza delivery drivers, amongst others. They must know I’m American because I’ve never had a bad customer service experience here.

People actually thought ‘The Avengers’ was better than ‘The Dark Knight Rises’? I thought that was just some sick, twisted joke. Apart from that, ‘Anna Karenina’ was garbage.

I’m beginning to feel like the only person on earth who’s only excited to see this because Russell Crowe is in it. We all need a little Crowe in our lives.

It’s good to see ‘The Thick of It’ get a reference wherever possible.
