These "Simpsons" Fans' Diorama Scenes Are Simply Wonderful

The fan art includes the Monorail, Homerland and Bart the pyromaniac butterfly. H/T: Woo Hoo! Classic Simpsons Trivia Brooklyn.

Fans of The Simpsons will fondly remember the season 6 episode, "Lisa's Rival", where Springfield Elementary hosts its "Diorama-Rama" contest.

Principal Skinner is on record as saying it's his favourite school event, next to Hearing Test Thursday.

Remember how Lisa's frenemy Allison entered a diorama of a scene from "The Tell-Tale Heart"?

Well, the very cool group of Brooklyn-based fans that make up Woo Hoo! Classic Simpsons Trivia recently held their own Diorama-Rama.

As is always the case with devoted Simpsons aficionados, the results were well-researched and lovingly rendered. Here are some of the entries:

    1. Here's a scene from the Monorail episode, with added Leonard Nimoy tribute.

    2. A Shelbyville panorama.

    3. Frank Grimes' miserable apartment.

    4. Bart as the butterfly that burns down the school (in Bart's imagination).

    5. Mount Splashmore!

Will you take us to Mount Splashmore? Will you take us to Mount Splashmore? Will you take us to Mount Splashmore? Will you take us to Mount Splashmore? Will you take us to Mount Splashmore? Will you take us to Mount Splashmore? Will you take us to Mount Splashmore? Will you take us to Mount Splashmore? Will you take us to Mount Splashmore? Will you take us to Mount Splashmore?

(From the season 2 episode "Brush With Greatness").

    6. The New Orleans set from "Oh, Streetcar!" complete with flying Marge.

    7. The 3D Bart Simpson Cone of Ignorance, showing how he drags down the grades of other students in his immediate vicinity.

    8. Tramapoline! Trambopoline!

    9. The Kwik-E-Mart made with products from a similar real life convenience store.

    10. And finally, this doesn't deserve to win.

Sadly, there doesn't seem to have been a recreation of the winning diorama: Ralph's Star Wars figures in their original wrapping.
