The Alien Hunter Telescope
The Alien Hunter telescope or E-ELT is a new telescope which will be the biggest in the world. The telescopic mirror alone will be 137 ft wide (half the size of a football field) and the entire telescope structure will weigh 2700 tons. It will be able to gather 15x more light than any other existing telescopes today and will be able to provide images 16x sharper than the Hubble Space Telescope. Found via bitshare.tumblr.com
