Originally from Santa Monica and raised in Malibu, California playing basketball and tennis in the local youth camps and leagues since age 5. As a young man Dash Kramer was viewed by his local community as the next rising basketball player to come from Malibu. In his early years of young league basketball he knew that he always wanted to be an athlete at every level possible. He played all four years of his high school career as a two sport varsity athlete leading the basketball team in his senior year of 2007 to there first ever league championship and his tennis team to another league title of many in the past. After his senior year he was offered many tennis and basketball scholarships to attend many different universities, which were all toped by one email received offering him a professional basketball career in Israel. With his new found love for tennis he had a huge decision to make which ended up being to pursue his extreme passion and love for tennis. He ended up taking a scholarship to a small private school named Wheelock College in Boston, Massachusetts where he played basketball and tennis. After a season of both sports he decided that he could no longer have anything interfere with his one love, tennis. That year he finished the season with a total record of 13- 2 with a conference title in doubles and placing second in singles, losing in the championship match all earning him a conference ranking of one in doubles and number four in singles. From this point on he knew that tennis was going to be his life. He decided that he needed to be closer to home where his coach at the time was so he looked for a school back in California and after many talks with different coaches from around the state he decided to play for California Lutheran University, but do to transfer problems he was not able to play much for the team. Dash, very driven in nature. He decided to take time off from school to improve and try his tennis skills out in a bigger way. He began playing ITF and USTA events where he knew he could compete. He hired a new coach by the name of Craig Cignerelli to help him with the level jump he wanted to achieve. After playing his first ITF event he knew thats what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Day after day getting up at 5am and going to bed at 11pm may seem tough but to him, there was no greater feeling then seeing himself grow as a player and as a person. Problems at home forced Dash out of the house onto the streets where he knew he couldn’t afford the professional life style anymore. He was forced to look back into going to school. Do to his commitment of the early morning wake-ups and long hour days he was sought after by many colleges at the NAIA level who look to recruit in the ITF levels. Needing most of his college payed for, many schools stopped communication with him except for a few. Among these few a small private school by the name of Hope International kept at it where in time Dash signed a letter of intent to attend there school as there number 1 player. In his spare time that he rarely gives himself, Dash loves to spend it at home in Malibu at the beach playing volleyball and playing with his loved dog Sadie. He loves to relax and spend time with friends and family. Most of all to let his body recover from the long days of training and hard work. He focuses mostly on spending time with his best friend and brother Dusty when they are both in town in Malibu. Currently Dash is living in Fullerton, California playing tennis for Hope International University. He is in the gym before class in the early morning and at practice after class working on his on court game with his team-mates. Dash is working with only one goal as an option and in mind, that is to play at a professional level. He is going to take his tennis career to new heights and show the world that a young American can make an impact in the world rankings.
