What Do People Say About Popular Cities?

It is impressive how each city in the world has its own identity and gives people a reason to want to live there. A number of cities are great tourist attractions but others are simply great to spend your life. Getting all the information necessary before you engage in a trip to a certain location or maybe decide to move there permanently is imperative. In order for you to spend a splendid time there you should look for feedback regarding things that travel agencies are unlikely to give you. That being said we are going to attempt to give you some of the raw disadvantages that famous cities in the world have. Here goes.

    Prague

Czech Republic's capital city is a destination for people of all ages. You can feel the renaissance spirit there, enjoy the blissful atmosphere and the incredible architecture. The city is a popular destination for young people with its clubs and pubs as well as the romantic sites. The bridges over the river Vltava are breathtaking and everyone should visit the area. Prague also has one of the best rated public zoos in Europe. It has a unique location on a higher ground as well as a nice variety of animals.

What people rarely talk about, however, is the high rates of crime in the city. Along with that Prague has had many problems with the distribution of narcotics and drugs. Many people complain about the inability of the law to stop that process. It is also a city well-known for prostitution. You need to watch your belongings if you set foot there during the late evening.

    New York City

Now we move over the Atlantic Ocean to the USA. New York City is largely considered to be the most attractive place in the world with its unique skyline, crowded avenues and hot dog stands. This place is buzzing constantly and there isn't a thing in the world you won't be able to do there. If you are planning to move in the area, however, you will need to have a hefty sum not only in order to buy a house or flat but also to support yourself. Unless you are already wealthy or have a highly paid job in NYC you shouldn't look to live there – you won't make it. What people rarely point out is also the fact that "the city that never sleeps" actually sleeps quite well. Every evening past 10:30 PM New York's buzz dies off. Sure, there are clubs and pubs but is not the same as being out there at 8:30 for example. The streets get empty, street lights often do not work and even in Manhattan it can get quite scary if you aren't local. Also if you are not familiar with all the cool bars and other places, you find yourself doing nothing at the end of the night. This is kind of a letdown especially since you've perhaps put in a lot of effort and time to make it to New York.

    Washington D.C

Indeed a pretty underestimated destination for a lot of people. USA's capital city has actually a very decent central part called "The national mall" where all of the large administrative buildings, institutions, memorials and parks are located. This area is actually a very relaxing place and it is also pretty large. You are able to see The White House, The Capitol and The Washington Monument from the same point. The city is relatively newly built and has these wide and long streets. It is rarely crowded and has very decent but cheap restaurants of all types:

    •Indian

    •Chinese

    •Mexican

    •Thai

Even though some of the most powerful politicians reside in Washington, the city has problems. Crime rates among the highest in the USA and this is something to keep in mind if you are heading to DC. Also even though the town tends to be relaxing, it can also be quite boring. There aren't a lot of clubs and pubs and this is mainly due to the fact that there live people who work for the state. These employees have a 9 to 5 business days and during the weekends they either get out or simply take it easy because the place is crowded with police officers.

    Boston

Boston is a unique town indeed. It has a relatively young population mainly due to the fact it houses some of the world's top universities. Boston is one of the first cities in the USA and we can safely say that it has inherited the best things the English population had to offer along with the most important characteristics of the American way of life. This has led to the town having a remarkable face. It is also a well-known sports town and has had success in all 4 major American sports – Football, Basketball, Ice Hockey and Baseball.

If you are looking to get in shape and use a personal trainer or nutritionist, this is the place to do it. There are really nice bars and restaurants in downtown Boston where you can take your family and friends. The waterfront is also a fine place for walks. Boston Common is an astonishing park where people love to simply sit on the grass and relax.

All of this is fine but it is highly important that you do not insult the locals in any way. As you might have already heard, most of them are Irish and their fuse is short. People constantly get into fights despite the warmth that Boston radiates. You simply want to stay out of trouble and perhaps one of the neighbourhoods called Dorchester and your stay in Boston will be fantastic.
