A Hairball Worthy Of Ripley's Believe It Or Not

Ty the tiger -- who is owned by Vernon Yates with the not-for-profit Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc. -- was taken to a specialist earlier this month after the 400-pound jungle cat stopped eating for nearly two weeks. A doctor performed an ultrasound and took X-rays before using a scope with a camera to discover the blockage was a basketball-sized hairball.
