18 Burning Questions Canadians Have For American College Kids

    Explain yourselves.

Yup, so we're like a week into August so basically IT'S BACK TO SCHOOL TIME!

BUT this got us to thinking and we have some questions about your American college experience.

Because we're guessing it isn't all like Old School.

    So here goes:

    1. What's the difference between college and university?

    2. Do sororities and fraternities basically live in mansions just off campus?

    3. Do you ALL go away for school? Like, even if you live in a city with a university (or college)?

    4. Speaking of which, does pretty much everyone who goes to college live in dorms?

    5. Is "rush week" a real thing?

    6. Do sororities/fraternities actually host these out-of-this-world parties?

    7. Do these polarized social groups really exist — even in college?

    8. Do most of your colleges look Hogwarts-ish?

    9. And what's the deal with the "Ivy League" thing?

    10. But are full-ride scholarships as prevalent as movies and TV make them seem?

    11. Please explain the difference between a community college, junior college, and...like...Harvard.

    12. What in life is with the INCREDIBLE enthusiasm for college sports?

    13. AND the cheerleading?

    14. Does everyone have to write a college essay if you want to go to school?

    15. Is "dining hall" as fabulous as it sounds?

    16. Do you have school-wide Halloween parties?

    17. Do things like a cappella clubs exist IRL?

    18. And finally: Is it really the best 4 years of your life?

    TELL US!

    ...please. Love, Canadians.
