17 Important Realizations Women Have In Their Thirties

    Thirty and goddamn thriving.

    1. You don’t need to waste time with people who are toxic.

    2. Learning "not to hear" other people's opinions about you is important.

    3. If you’re still single, that’s 100% A-OK.

    4. But if you’re taken, you probably know your S.O. is one lucky person.

    5. You shouldn't let the world pressure you into getting married if you’re not ready...

    6. ...and the same goes for having children.

    7. But if you are married, you know that wedded bliss is a real thing.

    8. And if you are a mama, you understand why your own mom did and said the things she did.

    9. Also, you acknowledge that your mom was always right. Always will be.

    10. You truly don't have to be friends with/be liked by everyone.

    11. Being in your thirties is significantly more fun because of the confidence you now have in yourself.

    12. No one views you as old unless you complain incessantly about feeling old.

    13. There’s no need to measure yourself by where you thought your 30-year-old self would be.

    14. Focusing on your career instead of having a family is an amazing feat…

    15. …and so is putting your career on hold to have a family.

    16. Understanding what’s important to you in life, and not giving a shit about the rest.

    17. But the most life-changing realization you can have as a thirtysomething woman, is knowing that you’re happy with who you are and that no one else can tell you otherwise.
