The 7 Best Disney Channel Songs Of All Time

From Miley to The Jonas Brothers to Aly & AJ, Disney Channel artists have churned out some bangers.

    7. Sneakernight - Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa sports a shiny fedora and a sequined top while crooning about her sneakers. It’s so wholesome I want to throw up. In a good way. And in case you were worried about your dancing stamina, V-Hudge checks in with us in the first verse: “Are you ready? Did you eat? Do you have the energy?” How’s your blood pressure? How many fingers am I holding up? Should I call a paramedic?

    6. He Said She Said - Ashley Tisdale

Ashley was set free in this video. The killer synth intro is good enough to make me forgive her for that horrendous bridge. I kind of can’t believe the music video was ever shown on Disney Channel – her black vest/white cami combo is pretty scandalous. But why did no one ever help this poor child figure out her extensions? And where has she been lately? Maybe she never found her way out of the VIP Booth.

    5. La La Land - Demi Lovato

This was the first time Demi really showed off her incredible vocal chops. She was never ashamed of getting her big break on Disney Channel, and years after this angsty anthem came out, she made it through the La La Land machine and is a great artist and role model. Granted, this is a song about life in the spotlight and she had been famous for about three and a half minutes when it came out, but I LOVE HER OKAY? DON’T MAKE FUN OF HER I LOVE HER.

I also need to give a shoutout to this fossil called Shadow from "As The Bell Rings." That one-minute clip spoke to me, man.

    4. Burnin' Up - The Jonas Brothers

The best Jo Bros song is a toss up between Burnin’ Up and SOS, but Burnin’ Up takes the cake thanks to Big Rob’s verse. A. Where did that come from and B. Why isn’t Big Rob featured on every song ever? This song shows the boys in their prime. And now that they've broken up, I...I find myself...slipping into the lava...

    3. 7 Things - Miley Cyrus

This list would be incomplete without Miley. No matter what you think about her newer music, you have to give her credit for 7 Things. Sure, it’s melodramatic and easy to make fun of, but it’s driven by a great concept and is hecka catchy. And we all know this song is totally about Nick Jonas. When Miley and Nick broke up, I stopped believing in love.

    2. Dig It - D-Tent Boys

Okay, I know this is from the (legendary) Holes soundtrack, but the music video was shown on Disney Channel so I’m including it. This song low key goes hard while highlighting the actual talents of the D-Tent boys. (Who knew Zig Zag sang the bluesy, old-timey hook? And when is X-Ray’s mix tape dropping?) I think we all know Shia caught the music video bug during Dig It. Elastic Heart was merely a follow-up to this gem.

    1. Potential Breakup Song - Aly & AJ

Aly & AJ were a Disney Channel powerhouse. They penned timeless classics such as No One, Chemicals React, and Rush. But I think we can all agree that they peaked at Potential Breakup Song. This song blew everything else out of the water.

By the way, they’re making new music under the name 78Violet. I haven’t yet formed an opinion – I’m too busy being deeply conflicted.
