The Midnight Beast are from left to right Stefan ‘Stef’ Abingdon, Andrew ‘Dru’ Wakely and Ashley ‘Ash’ Horne. Describing themselves as a parody or comedy band they all hail from South West London and originally got together to film a parody video of Ke$ha’s hit song ‘Tick Tock’.
After releasing their version of Tick Tock back in December 2009 they became a World wide Youtbue phenomenon, even winning over Ke$ha who praised their version of her song. Since then the video has had 14 million hits and the band have gone from strength to strength.
They have released a hugely successful book which included interviews with the band members, the history of The Midnight Beast, as well as explanation of the group’s videos and songs.
They have headlined many festivals, had their own huge nationwide tour and their self titled debut album reached number two on iTunes after the release of the first series of their E4 sitcom.
So if you enjoyed Flight of the Conchords, love The Lonely Island or are just a fan of parody music and comedy in general, make sure you tune in tonight and every Thursday night for the next 6 weeks at 10pm on E4, you won’t regret it.
Oh and don’t forget to keep an eye out for The Midnight Beasts second album Schtickheads which will be out on March 17th.
