As a fellow percussionist, and one who is very average on a djembe, I honestly don’t see the point of the four-butt setup. The tonalities are all nearly exact. Gonzalez can be seen at the end of the video rubbing lotion on his human bongos.

When I see something this stupid, I remind myself that someone not only thought it up, but didn’t automatically dismiss it as a bad idea. Then he talked others into working on the project and they didn’t punch him in the face for being a complete asshole for even mentioning it, let alone thinking about it. This goes for the 4 ladies who should have kicked him in the teeth for asking them to participate.
