Pornhub's Rejected Super Bowl Commercial

What the porn site was really seeking (and is getting) is free publicity. Spot is safe for work.

I would have preferred if the couple had been in separate bathtubs, but, creative differences...

    Via the Pornhub press release:

Super Bowl TV network CBS has stepped up its defensive line ahead of this Sunday's big game, blocking a proposed multi-million dollar commercial from Pornhub.com...a CBS spokesperson offered this brief response via email to the website's proposal: "CBS Television Network Standards do not permit advertising related to pornography. Therefore, we cannot accept your submission."
Pornhub Vice President Corey Price said: "The Super Bowl is the Holy Grail of ad spots and given our website's huge following in the US, we developed a G-rated commercial that we felt would meet the network's advertising standards."

Price — and the other PornHub brass — of course knew the spot would be rejected. This is not new footage that they shot for the Super Bowl, and they had no plan to spend the nearly $4 million in media money CBS is getting for a :30 slot during the game. What they did plan on was sites like this one posting the video.

PETA played the same game back 2009 with their naughty "Veggie Love" spot.

And in 2011, Ashley Madison also "submitted" a racy spot that was summarily rejected.
