oaklandface a month agoHow much is Oreo paying to have you dedicate posts to their tweets? Their Superbowl one was totally unremarkable (ad references thing that is happening…wow) and this isn’t any better.

samanthac22 a month agoThat ad was remarkable because of how quick it was. If you’re going to reference current events then you have to do it ASAP or everyone forgets about it and moves on. Normally, brands have to get a creative person to think up the idea, get it drawn up, get okays from people etc and by then the moment has passed. I personally love it when brands aren’t afraid to joke around and do things a bit differently as it makes them seem like they have a personality rather than just corporates sitting in an office.

The fact that you refer to an oreo tweet as a “current event” shows how we differ. Not everything on Buzzfeed is serious news but at least it’s usually entertaining, unlike this.
