NFL Picks Week 3 Eagles Vs. Chiefs Reids Revenge

Week 3 NFL Picks Eagles vs Chiefs. Andy Reids Revenge starts Thursday.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles PreviewNFL Football Point Spread: Eagles -3 O/U 50.5Thursday September 19, 2013 8:25 PM EST NFLBy Barrett Kazmerzack of Coopers Pick CALL NOW 18887302667The Chiefs are 2-0 and with last week's win they already matched last season's win total. They have been running the ball, playing great defense, and new QB Alex Smith has played mistake free football and he has not been intercepted so far this season. The Eagles and their new look dynamic offense will be a test for them and Philly is the 3-point betting favorite in this Thursday night game. The Eagles lost their last game and while their offense played well, especially Michael Vick, their defense struggled. The run defense has been bad and the pass defense has been terrible ranking 31st in the league out of 32 teams. Last week the Chiefs played good D and beat the Dallas Cowboys 17-16 while the Eagles lost at home to the San Diego Chargers 33-30. On the season the Chiefs are 1-1 ATS and they have an O/U record of 0-2 and the Eagles are 1-1 ATS and they have an O/U record of 2-0.Smith has not been putting up huge passing numbers, but he is limiting mistakes and he has 4 TD to go with 0 INT. WR Dwayne Bowe is a solid WR that is averaging nearly 11 yards per reception. In their game against San Diego the Eagles game up 413 passing yards and their pass rush did not help out much with only 1 sack. KC RB Jamaal Charles (132 yards 1 TD) has played well and Smith has also chimed in with 82 yards on the ground. The Eagles gave up 126 rushing yards in the Chargers' game and they will get a heavy dose of Charles in this non-conference match up. The Chiefs' pass defense ranks 7th in the league and they have a tall task in this game facing Vick, who passed for over 420 yards last week with 2 TD and he was not picked off. WR DeSean Jackson leads the league in receiving yards and can take it to the house every time he touches the ball. It will be key that the Eagles' offensive line plays well facing a solid Kansas City pass rush, which is led by Dontari Poe (3.5 sacks), that already has 9 sacks in 2 games. OK, so Eagles' RB LeSean McCoy leads the league in rushing, but that is mainly because of Week 1. The Eagles did not rush for over 100 yards last week and while the Chiefs rank 2nd in the league in run defense they have played 2 weak rushing teams in the Jaguars and the Cowboys. In some betting trends for this non-conference match up the Chiefs are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games, and in their last 5 road games they have an Under record of 4-0-1. The Eagles are only 6-20-1 ATS in their last 27 home games and in their last 5 games overall they have an Over record of 5-0. source
