A.Leigh 3 months ago#2 Depends. Some people have blocked home phone numbers. If you happen to have one, just because you do, and you call them because you have an actual reason to, then it’s not really a problem. #6 TOTALLY depends. What if they live on your route from home to work? It’s “stalking” to drive home from work? Should you completely change your daily routine to avoid inadvertently stalking them? Because honestly, I’d find that creepier than driving by their house.

singsaw 3 months agoRemaining friends with your ex’s mom DOESN’T make you a stalker?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME AND WHAT THE F*CK PLANET ARE YOU FROM?! That’s the most bazaar shit ever. Maybe if your families have known each other since you were 2 years old or your ex dies or something, but when the hell else? Under no circumstances should this happen. IF YOU DO THIS, YOU ARE WEIRD AND NOT RIGHT.

A.Leigh 3 months agoIt completely depends. You mention the chances that your families have been friends since before the two of you started dating, which is far more common than you might think (it’s true of the majority of couples in small towns). But it also depends on the sort of relationship you had with her, and the relationship you had with your ex. If you and your ex dated for a short period of time and you hung out with their mom once in awhile, it’d probably be weird to hang out with her after you break up. If you were together for a long time and were really close to their mom (some people, especially if their own mother is dead or living far away, end up sufficiently close to their significant other’s mom that she’s like a surrogate mom to them), and the breakup was amicable enough not to ruin your relationship with her, then why not? If you and your ex had kids together, then (unless you had good reason not to), it would be weird NOT to have their mom be part of your life, because they should be part of the kid’s life. That’s separate from being friends with them, but if that’s the sort of relationship you had before, all the more reason to stay friends. (Also, a “bazaar” is a marketplace. You meant “bizarre.”)

lexic3 3 months agoI sat there thinking of all the reasons something would NOT be stalkerish (as a musician, for example, I still use MySpace, and I’ve had friends who genuinely had no idea how to UNblock their numbers), and came to the conclusion that whoever made this lacked imagination somewhat. Also, the last answer doesn’t make sense. “Does going through someone’s Facebook make you a stalker?” “Yes.” “Wrong! GOING THROUGH someone’s Facebook makes you a stalker!” “But that’s what I… That’s… Oh I give up.”

chrissyg3 3 months ago#6 I’d think would be depends - what if ex’s house is on a busy street you’d use to get to work or something and going around it would just be a hassle?
It’s not the case with me but that’s how I look at that one.
Now if you stop and stare into their living room window that’d be a whole different story.. -

delicious kiwis 3 months agookay, #9 it doesn’t say “taking up an ex’s hobby BECAUSE it’s their hobby” the answer should be “depends”, because maybe i genuinely like something my ex also likes or introduced me to while still dating. #10 asks straight out if GOING THROUGH a friends profile makes you a stalker. then the correct answer is “depends” because its only considered stalking if you go through their profile…. ummmmm? i don’t see how #5 is different than #4
