Emergency medical personnel are prone to having a strong tendency to gallows humor, but I have never known an EMT or paramedic to joke about matters concerning a child being maimed or killed. Those who are joking about this are shallow, immature individuals. Shame on you.

I like the fact that he is real and also that he is a private person rather than being yet another attention seeker willing to make a spectacle of themselves to stay in the spotlight. He's wrong about not being smart. He's smart and he has class. Can't beat it! I feel bad for him that he doesn't seem very happy, but I've struggled with depression for most of my life too so I can relate.
