Still basically a bairn, huh? You don't know you're born: Newcastle is a place of wonder nowadays, and you'll not have known some of the things your parents did and saw.

You've seen Newcastle -- and the wider north east -- change from one thing to another, and you're able to bridge that gap in knowledge many people have.

You're in your twenties

Lucky you! You managed to see some of Newcastle's best moments, when independent shops thrived and there was a real sense of independent personality in the region. We long for the days of the Handyside Arcade.

You're in your thirties

From your first secretive sup of alcohol in the glamorous bars and clubs of Newcastle to a sense of pride in seeing how far the city has changed, you've managed to span the ages. And you probably still have some Shephards store money in a drawer somewhere.
