Prediction: Harry Potter To Trounce Transformers In Box Office And Social Buzz
I'm predicting that Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows Part 2 will crush Transformers both financially and in social impact next weekend. First, Harry Potter films already have an established track record of grossing higher than the Transformers movies. Secondly, Google searches for Harry Potter (shown in blue) have spiked higher than Transformers searches (shown in red) for each year in which the films were released. In short: both franchises are geeky, but Harry Potter fans are bigger nerds.
