The Chinese And Plastic Surgery
Why nip tucks or plastic surgery doesn't mean they wan't to look of other RACE or ETHNICITY. Asians love their own looks and race. And why the black community is incomparable to the Asian community.

This is getting old and annoying.
First off, Where do these people get off? So when an Asian have an eyelid surgery he or she is trying to look Caucasian? So Arabs and Indians have different eyes? Does Africans have different eyes too
It is like saying a white person is trying to look black if they dress like rap stars from the 90's. The article I read is just simply biased and dumb(http://www.buzzfeed.com/chrisstokelwalker/when-does-plastic-surgery-become-racial-transformation). I do not even know where to start.
Getting surgery in Asia is not even a big deal in Asian countries, if you go there an average person wouldn't even first think about racializing plastic surgery. Yes, they are more concerned about looking better thru surgery than looking more white. I think we Americans over think things, we should remember that not every country in the world think like us or even experience the roots of events on why we act a certain way.
I've also read that Oprah compared Asians to the African ethnicity(reading from all the comments from this guys page)... saying that Oprah pity's Asians who get surgery. To be honest, this is the first time I've heard someone pity an Asian person trying to get plastic surgery. As far as I know some Americans or Westerns try to get the "Cat-eye look". this eyelid tuck thing does not mean Asians want to look more Caucasian ...at least not all.
So why is Oprah generalizing and always radicalizing every race..? Is she trying to make Caucasians look bad..
How will some black kids who actually feel confident about themselves being black feel if strong TV icons like Oprah accuse and generalize their own race and other races of Trying to look White just because they had surgery or just because they did something different to their skin and hair? So the beautiful diva Beyonce is trying to look white because she dyed her hair blonde at one point?
So black people who straightens her hair means she is trying to be Asian or Caucasian? She should take note that every culture & ethnicity is different, it can not be based on something as stupid as plastic surgery.
I have black friends who wears their hair straight and they never thought of being white.. they just like their hair straight, it makes them feel prettier and I don't question them. I mean if it makes them happy, why not?
I don't get it. I believe that if a person wants to get plastic surgery it doesn't always mean they want to look white or they try to be someone from another race.
I have an Asian friend from the Philippines who is naturally born with slightly big eyes, light skin and double lids.. does that make her look Caucasian? Also a Thai friend who gets a tan in the beach, does that mean he/she is trying to be someone of different race? So a white guy trying to get a nose lift means what now?
I actually have a close friend from Korea who had her eyelids touched. She does not want to be white at all, and her reasons for getting one done is a "just because I want to". She said, it made her feel prettier. Just like how most girls put on make-up on their faces to make them feel more confident. This is the 21st century and most of the racist hick's are gone. Everyone has the right to do what they want on their own body's if it makes them feel more beautiful. So don't make plastic surgery seem like another racial issue. It is getting old.
