Meet Mdogo, The Cutest Calf In The World

A bongo calf was born at the Franklin Park Zoo on August 21, 2013 to his proud mother, Isabel. He looks like a stripped cow calf but is actually an adorable antelope, his heritage tracing back to equatorial Africa.

This is Mdogo and he was born on August 21, 2013.

He is a Bongo which is the largest, arguably most beautiful antelope found in equatorial Africa.

Unfortunately, Bongos are listed as critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Thanks to Zoo New England's participation in the "Bongo Species Survival Plan", this species has continued on.
