After this 'I'm a sex symbol' hair ruffle.
He asked her to solve crimes with him but she really wanted to go for dinner instead.
Later in the episode Sherlock also kissed his mortal enemy Moriarty.
Well almost.
Even so, fans of the show went wild and created gifs like this.
There was no Watson Sherlock tongue-on-tongue action.
But plenty of sexual tension. Like this.

And especially over this.
Sherlock hated it.
We all heard Watson insist 'I don't shave for Sherlock'. But then he did this.
Even Mrs Hudson thought they were a couple.
And if Sherlock doesn't love Watson, why did he choose the proposal moment to do this?
Maybe he just doesn't like Mary.
Either way we couldn't be more excited about this.
