Years ago, we took in a white cat when a neighbor moved away. It was either that or the shelter and 8 y.o. kitties generally don't get adopted. Besides, how much longer could she live, right? The neighbors had declawed her (front only), so she spent a lot of time hissing at our other pets, and my wife. But, for some reason, she loved me. She would sleep on the pillow next to my head and when my wife put her arm around me at night, the cat would bite her. To answer the question above, she lived another 10 years and died peacefully in her sleep. My sweet little Bandita (aka “Whitey Bitey”).
