84-Year-Old Sandra Day O'Connor Helps Break Ground For Her New Law School

The retired Supreme Court Justice joined officials from Arizona State University and the City of Phoenix to break ground for the new law school in downtown Phoenix. Doors open in August 2016.

Sandra Day O'Connor, retired Supreme Court Associate Justice and long-time Arizona legal fixture, attended the ceremonial groundbreaking for the Arizona Center for Law Society, the new building which will house the law school named for her.

O'Connor was joined by Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, ASU President Michael Crow and other university officials.

The school was renamed for O'Connor in 2006 following her retirement from the Supreme Court.
