Investigative reporting is undergoing a renaissance, especially on the web, as organizations from ProPublica to the Huffington Post to BuzzFeed invest in investigative reporting, and as all news outlets increasingly rely on readers to share their biggest stories on Twitter and Facebook.
But when investigative stories move from paper to screen, what, if anything changes? How do new data and visualization tools affect storytelling? Should investigative reports read the same online as in print?
