Politics Buzz A Gallup report seems to suggest there are only five states left where republicans have a significant party-affiliation advantage. The governors of Utah and Alaska are already contenders for the republican nomination in 2012, and there may not be much other competition.

Ahh, the Mormon Belt and oil-subsidy-istan. Tough nuts to crack. But in all reality, a surge in black turnout in the Deep South (not just Virginia or Florida) would need to be demonstrated for me to buy this. Things are looking up, though!
