Cynthia McKinney
The Green Party met in Chicago this weekend to choose a presidential candidate, and former Congressperson Cynthia McKinney clinched the nomination. posted She had previously represented an Atlanta suburb as a Democrat, but left the party after losing primary battles in 2002 and 2006. McKinney has been party to several controversies during her career and though fervently admired by some on the left is considered a divisive, racist, antisemitic, and occasionally violent politician by many others.
