Whatever. I like diamonds. I want to wear a big white dress for my wedding. I hate Cosmo. I’m a woman. I’m a feminist. As a previous poster noted, there is a difference between sexism, misogyny, and gender stereotyping. A lot of women do love diamonds and white dresses and Cosmo; a lot don’t, and for different reasons. No worries. But some people, including some commenters, reinforce gender stereotyping and even a bit of misogyny by claiming moral superiority: “oh well I’m not/my female partner isn’t one of those frivolous and materialistic women, so I don’t/she doesn’t want something as silly and girly as a diamond”…
