Judge Rules 75,000,000,000,000 LimeWire Lawsuit "Absurd"

A New York judge has decided that the RIAA's attempt to claim $75 trillion dollars from file-sharing service LimeWire, may be just a trifle overreaching. That's 75 trillion dollars with a "T," and 12 zeroes to the left of the decimal point.

  Record companies are suing LimeWire for 75 Trillion dollars. The judge presiding in the case, Kimba Wood, made clear in a 14 page opinion that she found the request absurd and claims that it stretches copyright laws to their breaking point. ~ Geekosystem
