Those fathers were probably gay all along… but ignorant people (like you) shamed them into lies and silence. People lie because they’re afraid of retaliation and violence. That much isn’t obvious to you?

It’s gonna take more than a tangential role in one movie to change Tyler Perry’s reputation. Whenever he gets the chance to actually *write* or *direct* a movie, he creates gay characters that are the worst antagonists of the film: liars, murderers, treacherous people filled with hate and malice. They always have AIDS and they always want to spread it to everyone else. Tyler Perry is a disgusting bigot.
The problem with “Smash” is that they won’t just let the show be a show. The entire plot is now an obvious analogy for real life events in the lives of the show’s creators. Every character whines. Every character blames every other character for problems. Stop finger-pointing and write the musical!
Agreed.
Lame. The “sexiness” is only a measure of a couple dozen kids at each school — and even then, it’s just a measure of one or two pictures per student. (Hello, a bunch of those universities have 30,000 students! How can a post about education be so dumb?)
Pssh, it’s a little to easy to pretend like everyone else is racist and you’re not. Blouse color, hair color, and hair straightness are the only major differences here. Consider this: In a beauty pageant in the United States (or Canada, or France, or Thailand), you’d see contestants with much more variation. You can’t deny that.
The lack of ethnic diversity is an unacceptable oversight. But I don’t see the problem with lacking trans persons. This is a list of GAY people. Trans people are mostly straight (as are most people in general). Gay trans people are a much smaller minority than almost any racial minority. Of course, the editors should attempt for inclusion. But forgive me for being unsurprised.
You can get cancer from smoking cigarettes, smoking crack, or eating too much food every day. You can get HIV during birth, from a blood transfusion, from rape, or from someone who lied to you. delainaa, your own morals are completely screwed up. People like you help spread the disease through your lies and shaming.
Shaming HIV/AIDS patients will scare scare people into avoiding the test. Avoiding the test leads to spread of the disease. Tyler Perry is stuck in another century. I hope this film bombs.
Incest laws were created for reasons other than a fear of inbred babies. Legislators wanted to protect the family unit without complicating issues like divorce, inheritance, child support, etc. Those reasons are relevant regardless of sexual orientation. Fathers can’t marry their sons because it would screw up the tax code and lots of other laws. This Brit doesn’t understand U.S. history… or much at all, evidently.
