Below are predictions for the divisions in the National Football League. This is just predicting the divisional winners and the wild card berths (noted with an asterisk *), no predictions beyond the regular season.

AFC East

1. New England Patriots (11 - 5)

I just can't see the Patriots falling off just yet. Brady still has a bit more left in his tank.

2. Miami Dolphins (9 - 7)*

Tannehill improves off Miami's almost playoff year last year and takes Miami into the playoffs. They put the Incognito mess behind them.

3. New York Jets (7 - 9)

Geno Smith improves, but the offense still isn't good enough to push the team into the playoffs.

4. Buffalo Bills (2 - 14)

Sorry Bills fans, this year doesn't look too pretty like the past several.

I believe there are some prime QB prospects in the next draft, though.

AFC North

1. Cincinnati Bengals (11 - 5)

Dalton proves his worth and finds success in Hue Jackson's scheme.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers (9 - 7)

Steelers got younger on defense, but the CB position is still a big worry. Todd Haley holds back the Pittsburgh offense enough for them to just miss the playoffs.

3. Ravens (7 - 9)

Baltimore struggles out of the gate and just can't dig themselves out of those early struggles. Steve Smith proves he's still got enough left in the tank by having a near career year.

4. Cleveland Browns (6 - 10)

The Browns have an incredible defense that will help them win games this year, but their offense is the epitome of the word 'meh.' If Cleveland had Josh Gordon (or a #1 WR), I'd say they'd be closer to 8-9 wins minimum.

AFC South

1. Indianapolis Colts (10 - 6)

Andrew Luck hype is real. The defense improves a little bit, but the Colts' woeful O-line costs them a few games this year.

2. Houston Texans (8 - 8)

The Texans reach .500 in spite of their QB situation. It also doesn't hurt that they play the Jags twice and the Titans twice.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (6 - 10)

Bortles! Bortles! Bortles!

Jaguars have a bright future ahead of them.

4. Tennessee Titans (4 - 12)

Jake Locker just isn't the right fit in Tennessee.

AFC West

1. Denver Broncos (13 - 3)

Peyton Manning is Peyton Manning and leads the Broncos to another #1 seed in the AFC.

2. San Diego Chargers (9 - 7)*

Rivers and Co. make it into the playoffs once again as a Wild Card.

3. Kansas City Chiefs (8 - 8)

The Chiefs regress after their terrific year last year. Smith stays consistent but tosses more INTs this season.

4. Oakland Raiders (5 - 11)

I just hope Derek Carr doesn't get sacked as much as David Carr did in his rookie season.

NFC East

1. Philadelphia Eagles (10 - 6)

Was last year Foles gold? Nah. Eagles breeze through the NFC East.

2. New York Giants (7 - 9)

The Giants improve but their record doesn't.

3. Washington Redskins (6 - 10)

I hope not, but I believe RG3 will try to do too much and end up hurting himself once again. Cousins comes in and isn't the backup everyone thought he was.

4. Dallas Cowboys (6 - 10)

NFC North

1. Green Bay Packers (12 - 4)

Aaron Rodgers returns to form. Enough said.

2. Chicago Bears (10 - 6)*

Brandon Marshall is going to the playoffs! The Bears' D holds up this year.

3. Detroit Lions (8 - 8)

Jim Caldwell brings his passive approach to football to Detroit and the Lions get to .500.

4. Minnesota Vikings (4 - 12)

Neither Cassel or Bridgewater can help the situation in Minnesota. Peterson does his best to will them to as many wins as possible.

NFC South

1. New Orleans Saints (12 - 4)

2. Atlanta Falcons (9 - 7)

The Falcons get back to their old ways, but miss out on the playoffs by a game.

3. Carolina Panthers (7 - 9)

"Riverboat" Ron can't produce the same results. Cam Newton can't find a consistent target to throw to this year.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6 - 10)

1. Seattle Seahawks (11 - 5)

Everyone will be gunning for the Seahawks, but they will survive the gauntlet.

3. San Francisco 49ers (7 - 9)

I really should put the 49ers where the Cardinals are, but I just think that there is too much bad juju surrounding the 49ers this season. I hope not since Jim Harbaugh is a joy to watch, but it just feels that way.

4. St. Louis Rams (6 - 10)
