While Hollywood has always been known for its glamorous Marilyn Monroe's and high speed car chases, a plethora of movies have been produced representing a deeper and more toughing facet of life. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty. Poverty does not discriminate. It does not effect only the old or those living in warmer climates. But there is one thing all those suffering from poverty have in common besides their unfortunate status: a need to be heard. Hollywood has given those without the resources or means to get their message of need out a medium. Directors and actors work together to give those without a voice, one within society and have captivated the hearts of people for years.
