When two asses meet, you get stories like this. (Commence pun-tossing). The driver broke the law (clearly), you can't run someone over just because they're standing in your way. On the other hand, as the blogger reported, based on the line of ten cars trailing behind and blocked in by the cyclist, I'm going to assume this biker was trying to make a “Bike Power!!” point by riding in the wrong lane. Obviously I can't say for certain, but my guess is the cyclist jumped on the hood of the car to keep him from leaving the scene, assuming the journalist would stop, and the journalist called his bluff and kept on a-rollin'. Of course in the eyes of the law, it only matters who has a case, and right now the cyclist's looks much stronger. (Ass or not)
