You're officially old enough that people around you say they are getting married and no one gives the stink eye. After attending a few weddings you come to realization - I don't want to get married but can't I have a wedding day too?
Here are just a few things those of who don't want to marry deserve too:
1. A day that is all about me! Sure, there's a birthday but celebrating how old you are is not the same as celebrating you!
2. A couture dress the price of a car without the judgement. If I were to buy a dress for $10,000 everyone would think I am absolutely crazy, however, if I were buying a wedding dress...
3. A large party on someone else's tab. I'm pretty sure if I asked my parents to sponsor a large party for friends and family with an open bar they would just laugh in my face.
4. Registry!! This is by far the biggest shaft singles get. We have new homes too! Except we have to go and purchase things because, unless you are getting married (or having a baby) you can't just hand out a list of everything you want knowing you will get it.
5. Bachelor/Bachelorette Party. Unless you have a very friendly bartender chances are after your 21st birthday special treatment on an occasion doesn't happen. The bachelors and bachelorettes, however, get to celebrate themselves and everyone is happy to join in the fun.
