    Last November, Tea Party-backed Republicans took control of Maine's government. They decided to take advantage of this opportunity by doing away with a 38-year-old law that allows voters to register to vote on election day, because of course making it easier for the masses to vote is communist socialism. Fortunately, this change was shot down in a people's veto yesterday, 60-40%, and same-day voter registration was preserved. This is the top of the comments section for an article on the subject from the Bangor Daily News. They start off good and keep getting better.
